Survival Kits

There is quite a following of people who believe that the end The Lost Ways of the world is coming closer and it will be something they see in their lifetime. Though, technically, if it is the end of the world, this should mean there is nothing we can do about it, some of those people are still packing up survival kits in various shapes and sizes to allow themselves more time on our Earth, once it comes to an end.

Some stores sell what they call first-aid or survival kits but some of them are incomplete, as far as true survivors are concerned anyway. Your average home first aid kit, for example, might have a few band-aids and some topical antibiotic ointment but when it comes to things like thread and sewing needles for stitching up serious wounds, those are not to be found.

Basically anything that the local neighborhood doctor's office or emergency room can be used for will probably not be found in a kit you can buy at the store. Therefore, in the event of some kind of catastrophe where you might not be able to get to an emergency care area, it's always best to be prepared. Include some string and a needle in case of a large cut, perhaps even include a few small vials of crazy glue, as those have been used to close cuts as well and with less skill needed than sewing up a cut. Flash lights and batteries could also be added to the standard first-aid kit, since they are not normally included.
